About the author: MEGHAN WALDRON is a confident and creative 17-year-old living in western Massachusetts. Her love of writing led to her poetry being published in Stone Soup Magazine when she was 13 years old. Meghan loves all kinds of cute, small critters. She lives with 2 gerbils, 2 birds, and a tortoise. Sometimes when responding to comments regarding her size she has been known to say: “Sure I’m small, but so are poison dart frogs!”

As The Progeria Foundation’s Youth Ambassador, Meghan helps raise awareness of PRF’s mission to cure Progeria. She is also an accomplished musician and athlete as a member of her high school cross country track teams, and a lead cellist in the school’s band.

Running on the Wind is a wonderful children’s book, with lessons on friendship, facing fears, and perseverance that shine through Meghan’s eyes.
